Melissa started college set on becoming a geologist, following in her father's rock-hounding footsteps.
Then interior design came along, and things just clicked into place. This path made the accent wall she painted in her bedroom in middle school make perfect sense.
Art and design have always been a part of who she is, and these days, her favorite part of the job is creative problem-solving of design challenges - finding smart solutions as a project moves from conceptual design to reality.
She looks most forward to time with her husband and their whip-smart 11-year-old daughter. Whether it's a beach vacation, a bike ride, a hike or a surprisingly competitive game of pickleball, this family know how to make the most of their time together.
